In 2025, we proudly celebrate 40 years of Derby Gaskets – four decades of supplying high-quality gaskets to industries across the UK and beyond.

Originally founded in 1985 as Derbyshire Rubber Co. Ltd, we started out supporting the local engineering and transport sectors from the very site we still occupy today in Derby. Since then, we’ve evolved into one of the UK’s most trusted gasket manufacturers, known for our precision cutting, extensive material stock, and outstanding customer service.

A Family Business Built on Service

The business has always been proudly family-run. In 1989, Chris Prince became Managing Director and helped shape the company into the success it is today. In 2014, his son Simon Prince took over as MD, continuing the legacy with a focus on growth, innovation, and exceptional service. Chris remains involved in the business as Chairman.

While Derby Gaskets is still based in the same original premises, it now operates with a footprint three times larger. This reflects years of steady expansion and continued investment. Simon and Chris lead a dedicated, long-serving team who bring experience, care and reliability to every job, whether it’s a large production run or a one-off emergency gasket.

What began as a regional supplier has grown into a business that works with leading companies across the UK and overseas.
